<p>David Kessler is an award-winning contemporary artist working in watercolors &amp; acrylics. His paintings are marked by bright colors, bold compositions, dynamic movement, and expressive brushwork. &#8220;I approach the canvas with an open mind and no pre-conceived ideas of what will develop.&#8221;<br />
Juie Rattley III&#8217;s creative and expressive artwork features self portraits, figure paintings, &amp; landscapes. His artwork provides him with a variety of opportunities to present his perception of the way he sees things.<br />
&#8220;Celebrating Rowan County&#8217;s Young Artists&#8221; exhibits celebrate both the outstanding efforts of the art specialists who teach the creative process and the extraordinary talents of our county&#8217;s youth. Susan &amp; Edward Norvell-Present Art Partner.</p>
<p>Artworks Gallery is an artist-run cooperative gallery in Winston-Salem&#8217;s downtown art district, committed to offering artists a creative &amp; responsive environment to exhibit &amp; sell their work.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Truck Farm is a whimsical 50-minute film about urban agriculture. Realizing he didn&#8217;t have any place to grow food after moving to NYC in 2009, filmmaker Ian Cheney planted his mini-farm in the bed of his 1986 Dodge pickup. The traveling, edible exhibit now brings a rural experience to urban students and has become the inspiration for a new fleet of 25 Truck Farms across the country. Directed by Ian Cheney, co-creator of the film King Corn (screened here in 2008), 2011. 50 min.</p>
<p>The 6th Annual Sustainability Film + Discussion Series is presented by the Weatherspoon and the UNCG Sustainability Committee to address current issues affecting the environment. The year long series features new documentary films and post-screening discussions with faculty and community experts.</p>
<p>Come early for an information exchange with local businesses and community groups dedicated to sustainable practices. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Info exchange begins at 6pm in the Museum atrium. Films begin at 6:30pm in the auditorium.</span> Free.</p>
